RingCentral Updates
Our RingCentral integration plugin/bot has graduated through RingCentral's production application process. That means that it can now be made available to clients. We now have a few updates on our side to push to production and then will be installing it on our Textel Ringcentral account.
Textel Bot Installation Page - On our platform we will now have a page that will enable a RingCentral client to install our bot into their RingCentral environment. This page is not publicly accessible, it does require an account with Textel and is behind our login.
Addressed a bug with automatic team creation when a contact was not in the Textel platform already.
Here is a recording of a demo of the RingCentral integration (that I demoed to Murph) that provides an overview of how the integration actually works, the benefits, and a review of the functionality in action.
Manage Account Page - Setting the Account Timezone
We have added a new page to the platform that will allow admins to manage some account/company settings. In this release:
Admins can access this page by clicking on the profile menu in the top right corner and clicking on the Manage Account link
The only setting displayed right now is the ability to set the timezone for the account. This timezone setting impacts how we enforce the auto-replies.
In the future, this page will include more settings to configure as well as display the usage statistics at a glance for the account.
Billing Plan Data Model & Microservice
To allow us to begin displaying and reporting usage information, we needed the underlying data structure and service that would manage the billing plans for accounts. The model includes plans for messages and users, allowing us to report and display usage against each of those concepts.
There are no front end updates with this release, but it is a required prerequisite for our ability to begin building usage reporting and offering the ability for our team to specify what plans our clients are on within our Account Manager tool.
