Blast 2.0 Progress
While the new Blast product is not yet finished, we have made a lot of progress this sprint. This product is not yet visible to clients despite many components being released to production.
Blast Contact Setup Step
Rate-Limiting Framework for Messages
Schedule Message Polling - the system that checks the scheduled messages database for messages ready to send and queues them up.
Dynamic Parameters for Messages
We have added the ability to use dynamic parameters in messages across the platform.
What does that mean?
Users can now easily add parameters to their messages that will auto-populate content based off of the tag used. On send, our system will recognize the parameter in the message body and replace it if the data exists on the contact prior to sending the message.
How do I use it?
Within the message box, there is now a new "code" icon displayed, that when clicked, will insert the parameter into the message.
The parameters available are the fields we collect on Contacts, so:
First Name
Last Name
Mobile Number
Email Address
While this is going to be very helpful for Blast, this can be used in:
Conversations
Keywords
Auto-Replies
Response Templates
Nice & Genesys Data Layers
We have setup the data layer and (for Genesys at least) the Microservices layer for these two integrations on Foundation. These are the base layers for us to be able to build these integrations into the new platform.
Bug Fixes
We took some added effort this sprint to clear as much of our bug backlog as possible.
CRITICAL: 400 Error Adding Contacts
HIGH: Sending Attachments was not working
HIGH: RingCentral Textbot commands were not posting to existing teams
