UX Adjustment | Reducing the Size of Components to Allow Users to See More Above the Fold
We have had a number of requests to make things smaller in our conversation experience so more items can fit on the page without scrolling. We have updated a number of elements by default and now have increased the number of messages and conversations we can display in a frame without reducing information displayed.
Message Tail in CRUDy
For our support teams, we have added a new Messages tab to the Account page in CRUDy that allows you to see a log of inbound/outbound messages. This can be helpful to determine if traffic is indeed flowing on the line to rule out broken routing or other issues. It can also help determine if a specific mobile user sent/received a message according to the logs.
Some Important Notes:
The message contents are not part of the message tail for security reasons. We do not display the content of the text, only the timestamp, the Source and Destination numbers, if it was outgoing or incoming, if it had text, and if it had an attachment.
Future enhancements are planned for this feature to allow you to filter by phone line and separate the rows of the table to make it easier to scan visually.
Sort Lines in Dropdowns by Line Name A-Z
Now anywhere a line displays in a dropdown throughout the platform, we order the lines by their Line Name from A to Z. This should make it easier for accounts with multiple lines to more easily fine the line they want to select.
Platform Health | Add Readonly User to Production Databases
To provide safer access to the production databases for troubleshooting purposes, we have created a Readonly user that can view and query the data without the ability to edit or update. This will allow us to give broader access to various members of the team to assist in support and troubleshooting.
